The Belmont-Carlton Neighborhood Association (BCNA) was established in 1980 for the distinct purpose of identifying and advocating for needs of the community.

The association works with various city departments and community groups to ensure progress is made on neighborhood concerns.  We help connect residents with the people and resources needed to realize their goals for the neighborhood.

Belmont- Carlton is the area between 6th Street SE, Moore's Creek, and the CSX (former C&O) railroad in the southeast corner of Charlottesville.  It includes Avon Street, Monticello Avenue, Monticello Road, Carlton Avenue and Road, Rives Street, and the areas known as Hogwaller, Big Hill, and Coal Bin.  Go to the Our Neighborhood / History page for more information.
